#Plex Server Requests failing with Status Code: 401

I just installed Seerr, I'm new to it all. I'm using version 3.1.0, the latest at the moment

I built it from source code: https://docs.seerr.dev/getting-started/buildfromsource

  • This means that I'm not using Docker

I use Linux Mint 22.3 (Ubuntu pretty much)

I use Plex, it runs at my computer's local IP address: 192.168.1.106 at port 32400

I started the process, picked Plex and signed in with my account, then section three shows up, I can't pick anything from the list because it's all greyed-out and says the requests fail with status code: 701

I've even tried the Manual Configuration and inputting my local IP address manually, and I just get an error saying "Failed to connect to Plex."

I've checked the FAQ but can't find a similar scenario, my issue is similar to https://discordapp.com/channels/783137440809746482/1492198955675811942

Here's my log file:
https://gist.github.com/StupidGameridk/7983d3b07c871aa112e3ffdd4c09d4fd

I can connect to Plex on my computer fine, I'm really not sure why Seerr is having problems with Plex

Install Seerr by building from source

Youre getting a 401. Thats an http error code sent by plex

#

Can you send the plex logs

Starr from scratch

#

Like stop seerr

#

Delete condig folder contents

#

So we can get a fresh start and see why its being rejected

weary anvil
#

Good ideas

#

I'll let you know tomorrow

weary anvil
#

Just stopped Seerr's service with systemctl stop seerr, deleted everything within the config folder at /opt/seerr where Seerr's installed

#

My plan is opening up Plex's console window next to a menu with Seerr's setup web page, and I could also share my log file, let me know if there's anything I could do

#

Just want to see why plex is replying with a 401

weary anvil
#

Me too

#

Something's up with me today...... I can't even find the log file where Seerr's installed

#

I can only find yarn-error.log

weak pike
#

Thats overseerr

weary anvil
#

I did install Seerr at it's repository instead of Overseerr

#

I just saw the log folder yesterday......

weak pike
#

We dont use nor never used thaf file

#

Also can you show a screenshot of your config folder

#

And systemctl service

#

Did you start seerr?

weary anvil
#

Actually I bet that's why the logs haven't showed up yet...... I left the command to start it up untouched in the terminal

#

Hi yi yi....... first thing I see today, suddenly not greyed out

#

I probably did not have a computer restart during that time.......... if that was the whole issue.................. great sigh

weak pike
#

Working now?

weary anvil
#

It does work fine now, I feel as if it was just a restart that was the whole problem, I want to make sure that's it before I close the whole thread

#

Don't know if there's anything else I could try

weak pike
#

If its working rn

#

Couldve been just a networking issue

#

That got flushed by

#

Restart

weary anvil
#

It could've been......... I feel I wasted your time

#

I don't know, things happen I guess

weak pike
#

But after you finish setting up

#

Please upgrade seerr

#

To 3.1.1

weary anvil
#

lol okay..... okay

#

Yay new update??

weak pike
#

Yes. Just a minor one

weary anvil
#

Yeahhhh! For sure I will

#

Thank you man, take care
