#Plex Sign In not available/possible

Hello,

First, I'd like to thank you for this project and your time spent on it as well as supporting us. I very much appreciate all your efforts!

I just migrated from overseerr to seerr (latest), and everything is working great other than when I attempt a fresh sign in (through incognito).

  1. I am not presented with the plex login option (what all of my users use)
  2. Clicking the alternate signing option (vixflix) I get an Oops error
  3. Entering email and password combo for local sign-in works, but irrelevant

I looked around here and on github but havent found anyone else with the same issue.

this is an issue with your mgiration

just stop seerr

and backup settings.json

and delete it

restart

#

go through the setup again (dont worry your data will remain)

that should regen the settings.json

for some reason your migration of the settings.json didnt properly set the mediaServerType

hmm, still have the same issue (oops error and no plex signin option)

checked the settings.json file and it has:

  "localLogin": true,
  "mediaServerLogin": true,
  "newPlexLogin": true,
  "discoverRegion": "",
  "streamingRegion": "",
  "originalLanguage": "",
  "blocklistedTags": "",
  "blocklistedTagsLimit": 50,
  "mediaServerType": 4,

Change it to 1

Also make sure your config folder is owned by 1000:1000

I suspect a permission issue where its not writing it back to settings.json

yes the plex field is populated. looks like its working after changing mediaservertype to 1
