#If I only have one Radarr instance should I add it twice to have both 4K and non-4K permissions?

Hi,
I've realized that my setup only allows for auto approving non-4k requests. Upon realizing that I also noticed the permissions for auto approving 4K content is greyed out.

So I'm wondering is the simple solution to just add the same instance twice? So add it once as 4K and set that to default. Then add the same instance a 2nd time as non-4K?

Or is the only real option to actually setup 2 instances of both Radarr and Sonarr in order to allow auto approval of both 4K and non-4K content? I use docker so it's not terribly difficult to spin up another instance. But it's easier just having one instance to manage one instance of each. Plus I use notifiarr and I don't believe it supports multiple instances of the same service. Though I could be wrong about that.

Thanks in advance!

Actually my comment about Notifiarr not supporting multiple instances I think is incorrect. I think I just have to add both instances to the notifiarr client. Though I'd still prefer just having one instance if possible

That applies for overseerr as well

#

Its not officially supported to use one instance for both as arr doesnt support multiple versions of same media file

#

But it can be done eitherways. Tho you might have unintended behaviours if you have enable scan on

#

As any media will now get marked as both available when arr scan runs if youre using one instance for normal and 4k service

Ah ok. Thanks for the detailed answer. I guess my best bet is to do the 2 instances then. I know the trash guides have some info about how to do that
