Duplicate "automatically approved" notifications.

The software is sending duplicate notifications about "auto approving" stuff that already went through in the past. Happens every 18-30 mins.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Request a show or movie
2. Wait for it to be ready
3. Get first notification
4. Continue getting notifications with each plex watchlist sync

@obtuse star When the media is available, are you deleting the requests in overseerr? You should not delete them else they will be requested again when the watchlist sync runs

The 18-30 mins you mention is consistent with overseerr checking Plex watchlists, as this is usually between every 15 and 30 mins.

What are your logs saying?

Looking at mine I am getting a ‘creating media request from users Plex watchlist’ every 15 mins or so, even if that title exists - though I don’t use notifications.

So could be tied to that.

1.33.2 is the latest and it’s well over a year old now so this can’t be a new issue, I’d have thought

Is there a chance if overserr can't contact sonarr, radarr, and Plex that it could cause it to keep auto requesting the shows?

No that shouldn’t be causing it. (Although I am just a user like yourself)

Theoretically you can run overseerr on its own, without even integrating to anything as a pure request system.

You may have noticed that development of overseerr has been inactive for a while but the devs do still frequent the server… I’m reticent to tag them but hopefully they’ll notice this one 🤞

I figured out that in docker you can just use host.docker.internal as the hostname and docker will foward it to localhost
