#Multiple Overseerr containers on unRAID - Is this possible?

How do I configure a second and third Overseerr container on unraid?

Why would I want to do this?

On plex I want user01 to have their movies and tv in the Plex libraries of user01 - TV and user01 - Movies. I want the same for user02 and user03. All three users watch very different things. User02 and user03 are my family members who know nothing about unraid/plex/overseer/radarr/sonarr. I think the UI of overseerr is amazingly user friendly. This will allow for user02 and user03 to search and request the media. I want it automated, so I do not need to approve any requests. I want a second overseerr container so I can set the default sonarr and radarr for the second overseer account to use "sonarr-user02" container and "radarr-user02" container. These will be configured to place the media into the appropriate shares linked to the appropriate Plex Libraries of User02 - TV and User02 - Movies. I will then repeat this set up for user03. I am very anal and want each user to have their own library that is not cluttered by the other users content.

I already have all the multiple sonarr and radarr containers set up. I am using sabnzbd. Plex is already set up and working perfectly for user01 with overseer.

I have tried to install a second container for overseer but i cannot get it to work with a different port. How do I set up a second container of overseer and connect it to plex?

Is there an easier way to accomplish the above using unRAID?

Thanks in advance!

I just thought of this: is there a setting that will allow me to assign certain sonarr/radarr containers as the default for specific users?

You can assign a different port to your overseerr instance in unraid
Just use the advanced option to change port

I will change the port under advanced and in webui. I can then sign into overseerr with with a plex account. I cannot connect to plex on the configure plex page even though i am entering the same hostname i used to connect the first instance of overseer. What am I doing wrong?

Ii would suggest moving to using custom IPs on the br0 interface. It will make your life a whole lot easier when you’re trying to configure containers.
What your trying to do sounds extremely over complicated. The same could be achieved by running a second plex instance along with a second overseer and only sharing the folders you want shared in that.

Thank you. This gives me something new to try. I'm going to avoid the br0 interface because it sounds really complicated to me. I have already created a custom network on my unraid server that allows me to connect one container to another by entering the container name instead of IP address:port. I am excited about tinkering with additional instances of plex if that will allow me to connect additional instances of overserr which will have their own different default sonarr/rararr containers. If there are any overseerr developers out there I would like to make a humble request: Can you please make it possible to assign different default sonarr/radarr containers to specific overseerr users?
