I've set up Overseerr, and have created proper profiles for my kids, instead of the standard Plex subusers, so that they can have dedicated watchlists. I assume that adding movies or shows to the watchlist should trigger addition of the program for review in Overseerr, but I'm not seeing anything.

Under "General Settings" for them, I have Auto-request ticked for both movies and series, and under Permissions, I have "Auto-request" ticked also (although I'm a little fuzzy on the difference between these two settings)

i believe you would need to sign into overseerr using their plex accounts, so that overseerr can receive a plex token to fetch the watchlists
the difference that i'm aware of is the following:
- General Settings: enable the settings for the user in question
- User Settings: give users the permission to be able to use said settings
