#Overseerr & Plex - Invalid Auth token

I am using the latest version (1.33.0) of the binhex-overseer docker on Unraid 6.11.1.

I access it Overseerr via local IP without issue but when accessing via port forwarded external IP the plex authentication issue occurs.

I am having an issue with multiple users (and myself) from being able to remotely connect and log into Overseerr using their plex logins.

I can still log in using the admin account on the same local network as the server, but any external networks seem to get an authentication error. Overseer can also no longer seem to see my plex server when attempting to reimport Plex users, but it can still find and add movies from Sonarr/Radarr without issues.

I tried renaming the app data folder and restarting the docker, however during the initial setup when it asked to log in with the plex details it just looped through entering details, loading, then asking for details again without showing any error messages. I restored the old app data folders and could access it again but the authentication issue remains.

I think some solution may exist in the reddit threads but they are currently set to private so keen to know if anyone here has any helpful tips.

Something is broken with binhex. We don't support 3rd party containers. Use the official overseerr image.

chiming in here since an issue i was following was closed. I am using the official sctx/overseerr image and am still receiving this same error. Same errors in the logs, and then in the browser console log I am getting an AxiosError "Request failed with status code 500"

Your container is struggling to hit Plex.tv for some reason.

any thoughts on what could be causing it? I've tried deleting the config file and doing a fresh install but no luck

Some people have had luck with changing their containers dns servers.
