So, I've posted before on the Steam forum, but now that I'm here I'm also gonna post a list of what I think should be added.

[Mechanic]

  • Landing dragons/wyverns on the map, like rocks or random perches.

Perhaps an alternative way of regaining stamina when not in flight.
If ever added, the first step for the player to dismount.
[Mechanic]

  • Similar to the idea above, but the wyverns using the claws at the ends of their wings to grapple and hand on the side of walls.

Again, an alternative way of regaining stamina.
If not regaining stamina, then just a temporary place for the player to hang onto and survey their surroundings before taking off again.
[Mechanic]

  • Wyverns/dragons pushing off walls with their legs instead of flying face-first into them.

At certain speeds, the dragon/wyvern can push off the wall/obstacle and resume seamless flight.
If flying at high speeds at a wall/obstacle, they ram into the wall and either stagger (thus slowed down and losing all momentum) or they fall for a short duration before regaining balance and acceleration once again.
[Mechanic/Gamemode]

  • Ability for the players to jump off the back of their mount to engage in physical combat.

When low to the ground, a promt appears for the player to dismount their ride. Either mid air and they tumble forward, or land on the ground (as suggested above) and proceed to dismount.
[Mechanic/Gamemode]

  • Bouncing off the idea above, add a new gamemode or mechanic where the players can duel other players without their dragons/wyverns. The weapon they have equipped on their character is the weapon they use when fighting; same with their armor.
    [Feature]
  • Maybe with the idea above, perhaps add stats to the cosmetic items, and with that a transmog option.
    [Mechanic]
  • Resuming the idea of dismounting your wyvern/dragon, add the ability of calling them back to you and mounting them once again.

  • Adding onto the ability of calling your mount back...

The promt of calling them to you would appear. The player activates it, and a sound queue of your dragon/wyvern bellowing echoes in the distance, indicating they're approaching.
An animation will play according to the right circumstance:
If on the ground, the player will run forward and, as their mount is gliding down close to the ground, they quickly hop onto their backs and resume flight.
If, say, jumping off a wall, cliff, or perch, the player glides/falls through the air. The promt of calling their mount appears, and, upon activation, the same sound queue plays. Then, the dragon/wyvern will swiftly glide underneath the player, essentially catching them on their backs and resuming flight.
