It's very unlikely given how expensive it is to create new assets and classes. The work involved is easy over 1k USD, at least - moreso if new animations are made.

there's also then the issue of needing to get the abilities chosen approved and balanced
and theres no garauntee the class you make would get the abilities you chose.
it's be fun if they could somehow stabilize it for the future, but for now I don't see it as likely :<

Shouldn't be that hard to implement, just needs more transparency than the last contests. Something along the lines of "Throw us some designs, we'll pick 5-10 we think are feasible and implementable and then we'll have a community poll for the winner. Disclaimer, abilities may be changed for gameplay and balancing." Or, even easier, give a rough outline of abilities they want the class to have like offensive/dash, maybe a couple words like desert/speed/etc as inspiration/theme to have more control over the design.
