Putting this here so I'm not just complaining in the century chat. Please increase the payout for quickplay and arena matches. Even though the dragon pass grants you a decent amount of coins, those are finite and once you have exhausted those the only options left you have to earn coins are through the base payout from matches and dailies/weeklies, which are frankly a pittance anyway.

Right now the average payout for a quickplay match is about 50 coins. That's usually only if you win, losing payouts are half that or less. An epic dragon skin in the shop is 22,500 coins. With only qp matches, earning 50 coins each time, it would take you 450 matches to buy one skin. Matches are about 6 minutes, so it would take you 45 hours to earn a single epic skin. Even for a free-to-play game, i don't think that's an acceptable grind. There are already enough gems-only items in the shop, and having such an unreasonable grind for coins-only items will just cause players who look forward to purchasing cosmetics to quit since there's no reason for them to even play.

Increasing the payout to a base amount of 200 coins per match would make this less insufferable. The average payout should be between 200-300 coins. To buy one epic skin with a base payout of 200 coins, it would take you about 112 matches to earn enough. That's still a grind, but it's less than a fourth of the amount of time it takes now. With 300 coins, it would take 75 matches.

I really love a lot of the dragon designs offered in the shop, but I'm an adult with a life and as it stands the match payouts are close to nothing. Increasing payout would give me a reason to play more often. Thanks for coming to my TED talk

Absolutely this, the game is too shallow to keep players invested in this kind of grinding, and just I'm sorry the cosmetic aspect doesn't have enough pull. It's not a game with a particularly strong or interesting aesthetic anyway. The main point of interest for most players is the fast paced aerial combat, and the dragons. There needs to be more focus on the dragons as the stars of the show, this game would benefit hugely from some quality of life aspects, something to do whilst waiting for a match, maybe you could have like temp xp boosts for bonding with your dragon by feeding it and things, you could do a bit more with your coins by buying meat and stuff, encourage players to get new dragons by having rewards for raising them. Work a bit more of the pet care side of things in, get your players to waste their money on making their dumb dragons happy, also, like, please, GIVE ME A LOWER PRICE OPTION FOR GEMS. I will happily pay like £3/£5 for like 500/700 odd gems even if it's a worse deal bc I just don't often have £8 or so laying about. My impulsive little instant gratification brain will absolutely not have the control though to stop me blowing a fiver. Please. Rethink. Your. Model. And add some consumables that force players to spend their currency whilst also making the game a bit more interesting.
