I am a ps4 player and since the vrd cannot adjust the sensitivity, the dpi of the players who play on pc is very noticeable since their movements are much faster and I feel that no matter what I do, they always end up killing me.

Pc players really can't turn any faster than you can on console

#

Turning rate is capped across all platforms and control schemes

#

All that sensitivity sliders do is essentially lower the radius of movement

The only noticeable difference between how controller and pc plays, is that on controller you cannot ping without being braked and you cannot boost while braking, so you have to tap it more gently than keyboard.

#

you also cant brake boost spam in different directions, tho that is, once again, bc of the brake button being held while attempting to boost

#

that said.
I do think console needs more settings in general...especially input command keys and graphics and all that

Moat consoles can run this game at a pretty solid framerate

True 🤷‍♂️

That's why I keep saying that they need to drop Xbox One/Ps4 support as they would not be able to keep up with these type of games.

#

I can keep up with *most PC players on the PS5. But I still lag a lot which is killing me the most

@deep tangle thats mean. I cannot afford a ps5 atm since its still $500+ USD and sold out 99% of the time.

#

I understand the push to drop ps4 and xbox... the game is aviable and wouldnt dropping them lower the player base. Lots of people run the older systems still because demand is high and aviabliy is low

they just need to optimize it....

I wasn't trying to be “mean.” There will be a time when the systems will quit working for good. And have no choice but to upgrade or get a PC. It's not sold out though. That's a thing of the past Scalpers are already trying to return PS5s they bought up and no one is taking them. Trust me on this when I say there are plenty of PS5s now, especially in stores.

As I said, sooner newer games would come out will start to be become current Gen exclusive.

True. But what happens when new games are unable to be playable on the Xbox one?

Also @rocky scarab https://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2023/01/30/ps5-stock-increased-worldwide-now-easier-to-find-says-sony/amp/

PlayStation LifeStyle

PS5 console stock supply has been increased worldwide, making them much easier to find according to Sony. While “unprecedented demand” and component shortages meant that there are still some players who have been unable to source a console since its launch, more PS5 consoles are now available at retailers globally. PS5s now available at PlayStat...

True, but it's still treated completely differently
If this game is playable on an rx580 from almost 10 years ago, it'll run on an Xbox one

Ue5 is actually more optimized though

You gotta think about performance wise.

If the devs so desired, they could continue to provide options for graphical fidelity of today

#

Obviously that won't always be the case, but for now it is

True however a lot of people are saying the last-gen consoles are holding back the current gen. Not saying that to be mean or rude, but they are kind of right. Development wise it takes more time to get the games to run on old hardware (If done correctly) Why did you think Hogwarts Legacy got pushed back for the last gen?

limpid mortar
#

That may be true, but I'd rather see longer development timed if it means that devs are actually being forced to properly optimise their games instead of just relying on consumers to always be upgrading to the latest and latest tech

deep tangle
#

Yeah, I get that. The problem is Microsoft, and Sony stopped their support for the last gen. Which sadly leaves them in the dust. Games you are seeing and showcased now are on the Series X/S and PS5. I do see your optimism, though. As game development becomes more advanced and strives to look more visually appealing with higher framerates (I don't care about the graphics, lol), It's going to be hard for PS4 and Xbox One to keep up. I mean I boot my Xbox One X to see how Cyberpunk looked like now vs the Series X and yes there's a big difference in performance 😅 As I said it won't be long when companies wont support the last gen anymore

limpid mortar
#

That is true
Doesn't mean that they shouldn't keep supporting them though

Financially wise it'll come time when there's no other choice. It's always been like that. Look at what happened to Cyberpunk and the result that followed on release on the last-gen consoles. Xbox One X wasn't as bad but PS4 suffered the worst. To the point that it was taken off the Playstation store for a time. I think other Devs and companies don't want that to happen to them and learned from CD Project Red’s mistake some games aren't meant to be released on older systems. We will see this in 2024 going forward.

It's not that the game can't be developed for that system - at least not yet - bit rather just a lack of incentive to include that demographic in development
Most of your revenue comes from the people that can afford to always have the latest console
