Part a i understand just use the general formula and rearrange

Part b, what do I do with tan. How do I achiever what they want

Part c, I’m assuming I’d use the general formula from part and equate it to the square of part b, is this right cos that seems very generous for 6 markers

#

For B what I initially tried was finding tan60 which I think was root3 or smth but I made the assumption tan(60r) = root3r which probably isn’t right

#

And + that didn’t get what I wanted

For b you can write 1st term as tan(60)=sqrt 3 second term 2tan(120) which is -2sqrt3 and tan180=0 since you know tan repeats every 180 degrees your series is sqrt3 -2sqrt3 + 0 =-sqrt 3 and since you are summing to 3k there are k lots of these 3 terms thus Sn= -ksqrt3
