let that time interval be X
i solved for it using areas
and yoou do *-4 for the first area because displacement is a vector and when velocity was negative it was travelling in one direction then it reversed
i tried finding the gradient or something but i saw not enough information
so i made up that time period , x
oh sh
im a dumbass
I did the long way
u can write a suvat equation
u = -4
v = 10
t= 4
(u+v)/2 * 4
oh because ur splitting up the area
from t = 4 to t= 9
its just that rectangle
area
mb im kind of tired i dont know why i did that
u had everything already ðŸ˜
but yh the suvat equation deals with the negative and positive displacements
for you
where did -14 come from
for the 2nd area u can see its the area of the rectange =
10 * (9-4) = 50
for the first part from t = 0 to t = 4
the gradient is constant so you are allowed to use suvat formulae
u = -4
v = 10
and t = 4
or you can use a = 3.5 instead of time
yes
