Hi!
Can someone please help me with this question? I differentiated it, found dy/dx and set dx/dy = 0 as its a vertical tangent, substituted that value back into the original equation and got a wrong answer..

and the markscheme said its wrong

apparently you have to do the two quadratic formulas and set that equal to the difference in y (which is 3)
