For the last part here. I attached a neat version of my method, where I just called the result from c, f.
The markscheme doesn’t want us to do this (note that the paper is not an official paper of any exam board).
The markscheme did the third image below. I am curious how, upon looking at this question, I can know that my method is not required?
Is my method EVER required? Is it allowed?
For this question in particular I got a really nasty sum so I guess in hindsight its too hard for 3 marks?

therefore, am I correct in saying that, for all A Level FM qus, I can solve by:

getting rid of constant term by applying rules of e.g. logarithms or exponents?
