#i have a kinda dumb integral question

So i know you need to use the double angle formulae to integrate cos^2(x). However, I know that the derivative of cos^3(x) is -3sinxcos^2(x) so can't we say that the integral of cos^2(x) can be cos^3(x)/-3sinx or am i being silly
looks like youve tried to scale it using -3sinx
you can only scale using constants
not functions
oh right that makes sense
