to the nearest 10p is 10p above the original and 10p below the original

£1.60 to the nearest 10 pence would be £1.50 and £1.70
so £1.55 and £1.65
yeah im confused about why its 8.49 tho
and 1.64
and not 8.50 and 1.65
why is that
icl i think it’s a mistake
if it’s the maximum values it’s the two upper bounds of the 2 original values
added together
so was i right in saying that its 8.50 + 1.65

this shit gets harder if you’re asked for the minimum values and you have to divide and multiply them
so taking off 1 from the upper bound and dividing it wouldn’t make sense
cause u get a horrible number
