#parallel lines question
38 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
line b is line a shifted 7 units to the left, so it will be:
y = 5(x + 7) + 3
y = 5x + 38
Ohh so we just multiply the gradient of the line of the equation we know by how many units we’ve moved!?
No the only thing you’re doing is subbing in ( x + 7) as the x coordinate of b and solving that
OHH
Because it’s basically the x intercept but add 7
I was under the idea that x was the Gradient so I didn’t add it in
Nahhh 5 is the gradient and since it’s parallel it’s the same
Ohh
I understand now I was able to do a similar question
TYSM for the help I was rlly struggling
You’re welcome 😌
And my math teacher gives off like he’s annoying when I email him so I didn’t want to😭
😭😭😭
You still defo should email him
Even if they act like that they always want to help
Or just show the question to him in lesson
Yeahh exactly
He’s also my physics teacher and I’m always emailing him 😭
And at one point I feel he’s gonna snap lol
But that’s geuinely the only way I’m gonna get by in maths
Yea you could also just keep sending them here, everyone wants to help you
Yea final year 🙏
That’s really cool Goodluck
I’d love to take a level maths but I hate how competitive maths already is
Thank you so much
Np🫶🏼
Tbh it’s not that bad, as long as you put the work in, I think it’s my easiest a level
That’s great it must be rlly fun
You’re gonna miss them so much in sixth form
When you look back on it year 11s gonna seem so easy
Yeahh😭💔 I love GCSEs I’m scared for a level
