so you can construct the following equation

210,000 * x^4 = 806736

x is the increase and power of 4 because 4 years

solving the equation gives 1.4 or 7/5

so the amount of corn increases by 40% every year

let the amount of corn in 2007 be y

we can say that

y * 1.4^5 = 210000 OR y * 1.4^9 = 806736 both will give the same answer

solve for y in either equation and ur done
