I know that this is the answer but i dont get why the answer ignores the 5?? Im so confused

Whats the point of the 5 if its ignored in the answer?

It's ignored because the equation is equal to 0

Divide by 5 through the whole equation

You're solving for x values that will make the equation equal to 0 and 5 is a factor so it won't make any difference when multiplied with 0
