So x is the infinite sqrt right? But within the infinite sqrt the same sqrt appears so u can replace it with x. Then the rest is just solving a quadratic equation

I’m not sure how to phrase it but the sequence x is inside itself essentially. The thing is there is no value for x because it recurs infinitely so we say that it tends to 1+-sqrt5/2

It’s one of those things u have to just notice I’m afraid. Kinda like 30 60 90 triangles in SMC

I mean u might be able to find similar questions on the internet that have slightly different complications which u cld practice
