To work out the upper bound of the decreased mass you need the upper bound of the original mass and lower bound of the mass taken away for the maximum value which is:
74.5g - Upper bound of original mass
6.25 - Lower bound of mass taken away
74.5 - 6.25 = 68.25 is the upper bound of the decreased mass
To work out the lower bound of the decreased mass you need the lower bound of the original mass and upper bound of decreased mass
73.5 and 6.35
73.5 - 6.35 = 67.15 is the lower bound of the decreased mass
Therefore:
Upper bound: 68.25
Lower bound: 67.15
