#differentiation with quadratics

What’s up
I don’t understand the question properly
Since it’s a quadratic do I differentiate as normal?
Yeah
Then substitute x
It’s still bring the power to the front and reduce by one
The answer is supposed to be -5 but I’m getting a positive number
I got -8x+11
Yeah
Then subbed in the 2
Np
I thought u had to sub y in later and kept getting the wrong answer
Lmao no
Can I ask one more question pls before u go
Yeah ofc
When do u know when to differentiate by x^n and when to differentiate by using quadratics
Wait nvm
I think I answered my one question
Sorry to disturb u again
Yeah I think you did
All of yr 12 differentiation is the same
Bring the power to the front and reduce by one
And same with integration, it’s all the same
Increase the power by one and divide by the new power
Wait I have one more question, was I meant to use the maths mentor ping
You can keep it in this chain or if you’ve already posted it just tag me
Ok thanks so much
