can someone plz explain why question 2b would be (4x)^2 - 3^2
i don’t get why 16x^2 would go to 4x^2

Because square root of 16 is 4 and the square root of 9 is 3 so if you do 4x2 that's 16x2 cause 4×4=16 and if you do 3x*2 thats 9 cause 3×3=9
