i dont know how they turned this
into this
this is the whole question but i doubt it will help for the specific part i asked
<@&791435371564892232>
(-1/2)^n-1 = ((-1)^(n-1))/(2^(n-1)) = (-1)^(n-1) * (2^-1)^(n-1) = (-1)^(n-1) * 2^(1-n)
(-1)^(n-1) * 2^(1-n) * 2^3 = (-1)^(n-1) * 2^(4-n)
2^(4-n) * (-1)^(n-1)= 1/(2^(n-4)) * (-1)^(n-1)
also why cant you just leave it as 40 * (-1/2)^n-1
what happened to the (-1)^(n-1) *
ignored it
cuz it wasnt relevant in simplifying the twos
which was what the box was doing
i can add it back
ok but wait still where does (-1)^(n-1) * go here
they did
bruh why tf did they have to write it like this
it fcked with my brain
it made no sense
(2^-1)^(n-1)
this makes sense
fck the person that wrote this .
skill issue
