Just doing some revision for a maths assessment and forgot what set builder notation is and what it means. Any help solving the problem would be much appreciated!

For a split it into 2 separate inequalities and solve them individually and then combine them again to get where x lies

#

so what is the notation for that?

wet solar

Well depends whether x is natural integer rational or real or even complex

#

Cos usually u write smthn like

#

{x: 3<x<8, x is a member of N}

#

Can’t find the weird e

serene isle

ok

wet solar

U don’t need the part after the comma necessarily

serene isle

i see

wet solar
#

Only if the question said find all natural solutions

#

Or smthn

serene isle
#

alright this one just says solve and write it in notation

wet solar
#

Ye I wld leave the part after the comma out then

serene isle
#

alright

#

so ive got 1<x<4/3

#

so it would be {x: 1<x<4/3}

wet solar

That’s set builder notation yes

#

But ur solution is wrong

#

The answer is x>4/3
