Your PC/Laptop Specifications (CPU, Motherboard, GPU, manufacturer, etc): EVGA 3080 FTW3, AMD 5800x, MSI Mag X570
Whether this device is new or old and if you have overclocked any components: No overclocking, built at launch of 3000 series.
The issue: Lately my computer is freezing when I leave it on the desktop or with discord open. I could just boot the PC, and leave it for 30 minutes and come back to it being frozen and unresponsive, with the clock saying the incorrect time (when it froze). This doesn't happen during games or when actually using it, only when leaving it idle.
Any pictures or videos if possible: N/a
Troubleshooting that you have already completed (if any): Hard reset the pc by holding down the power button, updated all drivers, updated motherboard bios

Idk if any of this will matter but change all your power settings and screen savers to off so it never goes to sleep hard drives never shut off screen always stays on basically change every power setting to keep it on I've seen this problem happen because hard drives were set to turn off after 10 minutes causing freezing same thing for screen savers. If that doesn't do it dual boot a Linux distro and see if it does that'll confirm it's a hardware issue or windows being dumb
Tried that, now I'm getting BSOD pretty consistenly
Reliability center says hardware error
install a linux distro and see if it crashes thats almost a 100% garuntee of hardware failure
What’s a Linux distro
