My ASUS monitor sometimes won't display anything until I turn it off and on again. Hasn't done this for the past 3 years but has been a common occurance of late.

Your PC/Laptop Specifications (CPU, Motherboard, GPU, manufacturer, etc): EVGA 3080 FTW3, AMD 5800x, MSI Mag X570
Whether this device is new or old and if you have overclocked any components: No overclocking, built at launch of 3000 series.
The issue: My ASUS monitor sometimes won't display anything until I turn it off and on again. Hasn't done this for the past 3 years but has been a common occurance of late.

Troubleshooting that you have already completed (if any): Turn it off and on again.

Been using this cable for a while now no issue

ohh okay.. i'd still recommend trying out a different cable just to rule that one part out.

also, when it happens again, i'd try restarting just the gpu drivers using the keyboard shortcut:

Winkey + Ctrl + Shift + B

another thing i'd maybe recommend to check is the power options:
hard disk -> turn off hard disk after -> setting (minutes) -> 0
