No display

So GPU had driver issue and I bought a new one, I got a second hand GTX 1050ti from a local store.

So it was working for 4 days perfectly but today I was using it but suddenly display stopped as if I unplugged the display port, the game I had running was still running and I could hear myself moving and breaking stuff (it was minecraft)

now it doesnt start and my motherboard gives me VGA led debug light.

I went to the store I got it from incase he covers it with the warranty and he told me its a power short and that isnt included in the warranty.

I didnt smell anything in the GPU and there are NO marks of anything burning or shorting.

ryzen 3100X
gtx 1050ti
XPG pylon 550w
gigabyte case

I overspent on that GPU and I really dont know what to do since they are basically money gone and University is next week...

I tried clearing CMOS battery and tried a putting my old GPU and it worked so it is something to do with the new gpu

Sounds like you can take the evidence that your other GPU is working fine as evidence that it wasn’t a short from your end.

And yeah you can dispute the charge if used credit or debit

you can open up the gpu and inspect to see any areas where there would be a short

because its not hard to show someone a short, it just takes a multimeter

a short can be caused by anything like metal fragments or liquid metal in an area where it isnt supposed to be

not all shorts will smell like burning

I honestly dont know what I did it was runnign fine then it stopped working
