oh nvm i just noticed it turns off which means no issues
i stopped the vid too early and didnt realize
but I’ve got blackscreen
ok, so check the gpu. make sure it's fully seated in the slot, the power cables are properly seated, and the correct display cable is connected to the display you're using
I’ve already done that
how long have you let it sit on boot up?
5 min
did you try your other monitor?
yeah
when you installed the aio, did you remove the cpu from the socket to clean it or just left it in?
is it intel?
no it’s amd and yeah I removed and cleaned it
i usually leave it in the socket for amd cpus when cleaning it so i dont accidentally bend pins
I’ve checked the pins afterwards no pin is bend
can you list your full system specs. did you install anything else with the aio like an nvme ssd?
no I didn’t
I’ve got an Rx 6700 xt, Ryzen 7 5700x, 32gb gskill ram 3200hz, be quiet pure loop 2 aio, 1 hhd, 1 ssd, 1 nvme ssd
motherboard?
trying to think of something to test or a solution to fix it
might need to pull the cmos battery and reset everything
do you think that will work?
ive had the same issue a year ago I tried everything but then I just selled my components and they’ve got no problem with it
but since you were doing stuff with the cpu out of the socket, im wondering if you might have bent a pin putting the cpu back in the socket but didnt realize you did
should I check?
yes
okay wait a sec
it might also be weird contact and pressure on the cpu, but that isnt usually an issue with amd cpus
Everything’s fine
how much paste did you use?
Not much just a little dot in the middle of the cpu
lol. that isnt the issue here jsut wondering
well a small dot may not be enough
for proper cooling i mean, but not the reason the system isnt booting
if the cpu doesnt get full overage when you have pulled the pump off, then you need to use more paste
the only other thing could be not plugging in the cpu power
it probably wont matter, but did you have another cpu cable plugged into that 4pin extra?
no
okay I’ll try
reseat the ram too
if none of that works, pull the cmos battery for 5 minutes
you might need to fix boot order if you get the system to display
i gotta take off. stuff to do
it worked bro tysm
which thing worked?
