#My mouse stutters across my screen sometimes and my headset keeps static
34 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
are your drivers up to date?
Yeah
It was already happening before the headset so I just assumed it was the dongle for my old headset but it's still doing it
can you plug your mouse or headset into your pc so it would be hardwired?
I believe so I can do it with mouse not sure about the headset
Headset is a no mouse I can
try plugging it in and make sure that its not still communicating wirelessly. i can plug my corsair mouse in and turn off the wireless mode so it doesnt communicate
The mouse isn't stuttering no more but the headset can't be hardwired
you could try different ports or moving the dongle to a better area that would have less interference. i would also try just having the mouse dongle plugged in or disconnecting your headset so youre getting rid of some interference. if youre still having issues then best bet would be to reinstall the drivers or force update them. you can try the same thing with your headset too.
Can I send a image of where the dongles are?
Sorry for the mess
Both logitech products
The one on the right is the mouse and the one connected to the case is the headset
is the one on the left plugged in all the way?
Yeah
Could that be the issue
Mother board is X570 Tuf Asus
Case 011 Dyanmic Evo
Mouse Pro X Superlight Logitech
Headset Pro X Wireless Logitech
well im just asking because it looks like its hanging out there
Should I try plugging it into my motherboard
you can. just trial and error and see if you get any results
Alright
Seems like it's working now I can't really tell it does this all the time but then stops after a little
you might have some weird settings in your power plan for USB devices. sometimes you pc will restrict or put to sleep usb ports that arent being used. changing that stuff is above my pay grade though so, I'd ask in general chat for advice with that.
Alright Ty I will
the headset should also come with a USB cable.
anyway, this can be caused by several factors but mainly interferences from other devices. for example, if you're near a wifi access running on the same bandwidth, a nearby microwave or refrigerator, a washer or dryer, or other electronics that can emit certain frequencies. what resolves it for me usually is by using a usb extender cable, plugging one end to the motherboard then the other to the dongle(s), and placing the dongles on an open spot in my desk just under the monitor. i also try to NOT run and bundle the extender cable with other cables especially power cables and dp/hdmi cables.
Would a mesh router cause that
there's a possibility. logitech's lightspeed wireless runs on 2.4 GHz, which is what some routers use if they're not running the 5 Ghz band. some mesh routers (even 5 G ones) use 2.4 Ghz for the "back haul"
That makes sense I had a mesh router to the right of headset dongle
ahh there u go, move the router away and test it out.
