I am getting a 4070 founders edition soon, and currently have:

Specs:
10700k
3000Mhz DDR4 ram
650W PSU

Issue:
I figured these should be more than adequate but I'm wondering, am I leaving a ton of performance on the table by not upgrading my CPU? Or is this fine for now until I'm ready to upgrade the full system (minus the GPU)

tl;dr is getting a 4070 a dumb idea with my current build

4070 shouldn't be an issue for a 10700K. But you probably should look at getting faster ram. 3200/3600 is dirt cheap.

i wouldn't upgrade your RAM, your GPU will give you more frames and if its between something like a 4060 ti + 3600mHz C16 RAM or a 4070, get the 4070
