#Black Screen while gaming

Specs: Nvidia 3070ti FE

  • M.2 SSD (1.0 TB)
  • Gigabyte B450 AORUS PRO WIFI
    -EVGA - GT Series 850W Auto Eco Mode with FBD Fan 80 Plus Power Supply.

So this all started last night, I was just playing Fortnite, and all of my monitors went black out of the blue, I could still hear sound and talk to my friends in discord, but the only thing I could do restart my PC. Once I did that I was able to play a few games without issues before it happened again and I just decided to go to bed. The next day I was playing again for about 3 hours no issues, until it finally happened again. I was able to restart again, then when I played the first game after restarting, it did it again after like 3 minutes. I tried the "Shift control windows B" thing and it did nothing. So I just decided to restart again. Once I did that when I turned it back on nothing was displaying but the PC was on. I waited a few minutes then restarted again and it finally came on. I was then able to game for another 3 hours without issues and here we are now. It just happened maybe 20 minutes ago while I was playing fortnite and I am really lost on what to do at this point. (Also when I tried restarting the latest time, nothing displayed until I restarted it again but when nothing displayed I saw a weird typa glitch looking this on my second monitor)

have you checked your gpu temperature? are the fans on the gpu sounding very loud when gaming and when it goes to black screen?

you're going to have to try different driver versions and see if each one gives the same black screen

i wouldnt test more than 2 different versions older and or newer than the one you're on now

if it keeps happening, it is most likely a gpu hardware issue and probably needs to be rma replaced

other things to try are different monitor cables and ports on the display and the gpu
