hello, i just built this pc yesterday it has:
gigabyte b550 aorus pro ac
rtx 3060 ti
kraken 360 rgb cooler
corsair vengeance ddr4 3200 (4x 8gb) and Ryzen 5 5600x
etc.

the problem is that i try to turn it on for the first time ever and the fans and rgb turn on, but the motherboard shows a red light on the DRAM light. Ive tried clearing the cmos (maybe i did it incorrectly not sure), im thinking of updating the bios but im a little confused because nothing shows up on my monitor so how do i get to the bios? please help i cant sleep until i fix this :(

i shouldve mentioned that my bad. ive switched all 4 sticks out, changed the places around, done one at a time, two at a time, etc.

Corsair has that issue. Just pop out 2 sticks and only use 2 until you can update the BIOS

If your RAM is seated properly then I would reseat the CPU but check all your cable connections first

Usually CPU initializes first. But Gigabyte just shows it getting stuck on DRAM

Im sure that board has a bios flash button. If you have another computer to work with and a usb get an updated bios and flash it.

According to some folks on reddit that has the same issue, you might want to try to take out the cmos battery

im like 90% sure you need to do bios flashback with a usb 2.0 drive or it wont read it. i have indirect experience of this with my friend unable to do flashback on one of his newegg shuffle boards. all he had were usb 3.0 drives and had to go buy a 2.0 drive for the flashback to work

if you still cant do it with a new usb drive, the only other "practical" option is to buy a cheap new or used ryzen 1000 to 3000 series cpu or see if amd still has the option to send you a cpu for flashing that you send back

a repair shop should be able to do it for you but they would probably charge $50 or more. a used ryzen 1000 cpu is probably $20 and a new cpu can be returned

try amd loan boot kit rma first and if they wont loan a cpu, either just buy one online or at a local store or bring it to a shop. buying a new cpu could be expensive but you can or should be able to return it. buying used could be decently cheap but then you have a cpu you dont need

im assuming you never tested each stick individually after getting the ryzen 3000 cpu. the dram led coming on after getting a new cpu could mean one or more modules are bad. in fact... im wondering if the ram was the issue the whole time
