Ive screwed the fans to the radiator and wired these before putting the bracket in between
Ok let's look at what funkery is going on here. This is the x53?
Yes
Ok, first, I think the white LED is suppose to be facing outside. Where are you planning to mount this rad?
This is what you are trying to do on ur build right.
And just two clarify if i mount it with the led outwards it will be exhaust right
LED outside is intake
So these are exhaust
I just need two opposites
So if these two are exhausts ill put the other two intake
Ok so that's fine
those are exhaust fans. The led side take in air, the other side exhaust out air
blue is the bracket, purple is the radiator, orange is the fans
you want the fans facing wher it pulls air into the case
@glass meteor
Like markus shown above, if that's the orientation you are trying to do (those are intake fans), then you need to put LED side facing the glass of the case
Alright
it'll leave more room inside the case
but you won't see your RGB
So should i leave the bracket in and put the fans or take it our
Its alr out
But should i put it back in
you need to take it out to mount everything together
Like so?
the h510 is an absolutely horrible case to build in
Which bracket is this?
Oh god those
Put the screw through em
and then you want the radiator right behind it
yeah
Alr
I'd advice to put the rad on top if it can fit
you cant
its only 120mm on top
Ye
Its so hard moving the radiation
Since its that big wire
Ok yeah, you would need to take the bracket out, mount the fans on it, then put the bracket back in, mount the aio on the other side to fit the fan screw
Ion know how im supposed to screw these in
So now i just put this in?
Then get the radiatior from the other side
Ah, try this. If you screw the bracket in between the rad and the fans, can it go back in the case?
One sec imma try that
Its kind of difficult so imma js try this
Wait i messed up
The wires should face the other sides
Try just assemble the rad on the other side of the bracket with the fans screw onto the rad and the bracket on your table, then put the bracket back
Yes but the wires
Should face the back of the case right
Wiat im stupid
That means i did it right
Oh alr
I cant connect the radiatior to the brscket and fans without worrying the pump is gonna hit something
Is there any way to disconnect it or something
just let it hang
Wym
From the side of the table
Like let it hang down
yeah
Alr
just keep the protector on the thermal paste
Alr
Protector doesnt fit
Cz i alr changed the bracket to am4
Just make sure the thermal paste isn't gonna touch any surface
that's fine
though don't screw it too hard
Basically, you have 2 options, we are trying to get you to do the first option since that would give you more space in the case
Option 1 - fans led facing outward
You can do option 2 and that's where the fans led would face inward toward the radiator
Option one is intake right
And 2 is exhaust
3 out of the 8 screws refuse to go in
Should i remove all and re screw
they're both intake
Oh
Well its too late alr made it option 2 π
what gpu do you have again
3060ti
Y
ah
you'll be fine
Lmao
What do i do now
put it in the case
How do i put the bracket and fans in
just
You can do option 2 if you are having issue doing it in between
Cz the screen
the way you took the bracket out
Will go around flying
you just put it in
there's nothing you can do about the pump, just have it rest somewhere
screw aio onto the bracket, then screw fans onto the aio
or mount it onto the cpu and then mount the radiator in
Wait shit
I gotta redo thi
I made the radiator pump be down
the orientation of the screen doesn't matter
you can rotate it in the program
Dont worry about the pump for now
worry about getting the rads and fans on the right way to the brackt
This wire is in the way
What do i do
move it so its not in the way'
Its connected from both sides
I gotta unscrew
Its stuck between
Im so stupid
Are you screwing the fans onto the rad now like option 2?
Im never building a pc again
Yes
Just let the cable hang or try to fit it through that hole so you ca n group it to the back of the case
if you dont want to build the pc anymore you can bring it to microcenter and they'll build it for you for a fee
Tuck it thru the holes on the bracket @glass meteor and worry about organizing it later
Can you send pic of the entire thing?
If it's attached to the fans, don't worry about it
Wdym
Like send pic of how the rad and fans are attached to the bracket
So you are going with option 1? Ok
Now put that bracket in the case, can it fit?
Don't worry about the cables
It fits? Fantastic
Now install your pump onto the cpu
All the screws are tight on the bracket and aio yes?
Yeppp
O no i js saw this
Hold on one second
That's fine.
Alr
What mobo is this?
Ah ok. And no. You don't need to unscrew anything. You got the am4 bracket on the pump head?
Oh I hate those am4 clips
Yes
Well...the hardest part is to clip those things on
Yeah that's fine.
What does your manual says for am4 installation? @glass meteor
I thought he still have the old bracket for am4.
The mobo?
The aio manual
Installing the pump Am4/Am5
Follow the instruction on that picture
I thought you have the clipper style bracket like the ones I have. Must've mistaken corsair ones.
Whats the original backplate
It says and keep the original backplate on the rear of the motherboard
@glass meteor
If your mobo has it. I don't think your mobo has one
So what do i do noww
Follow thru the rest of the instruction
I cant put the amd sleeves with no backplate tho
you have the original backplate attached
its am4
Wym
then it fell
when you removed the brackets it fell, those things hold the backplate in place
Those?
yes, when you removed those the backplate fell
When you remove those, did anything from the back fall?
Behind your motheboard
it should look like this
Ohhhh
Didnt even realize it fell i heard a noise i was like wth and moved on lmao
Screw it on with the same screw from the front but on the back?
yes, so you want to put that back on the rear of the motherboard through the holes and mount the aio on following the instructions
itβll be loose until you mount the pump
Alr
Keeps on falling
Hold it while putting the sleeevs?
you have to hold it in place until you mount the pump on
Alr
Did u put the screw on already?
Just hold the backplate while you are doing step 2 and 3
Should i just screw it with my hand
Cant screw it too much since i have oy my hand cant use a tool for this
This is fine
Ale
screw in a star pattern
Wym
so once you get two corners you can let go of the backplate and finish the rest
Ye i js let ho
Go
yeah
but
its easy to say star pattern cus tire
for tires you do the same thing
Done with them
My hand feels numb thos lil things hurt sooo much π
use a screwdriver to finish them off
How
make sure theyre as tight as they go
I cant use a screwdriver on them
theyre literally marked for a PH1
Did u follow this? @glass meteor
Put ur aio pump on it
Put the right am4/am5 bracket on, and screw those screw on the holders
Shi
Alr what now
Now where do i connect all this
motherboard manual and check the nzxt video i sent you
Should i put the psu firsy?
yes you can
you can either start cable managing whats there
i'd recommend starting with cable managing whats there first
then add the PSU in, cable manage those
and then after that put the GPU in and you should be set
The vid is too fast
Too hard to understand
Check your aio manual for where the cables goes
What abt the fans from the case
The place on the mobo that says
Sys fan 1
And sys fan 2?
Yeah you can connect them there or if your case has a splitter
Whats that
You can slow watch the video Markus sent you
The fans on the case can be plug into sys_fan port
Or into these if you see anything like these
Alr so sys fan NOT cpu_fan
If you're referring to a fan hub... as the PSU
Wym
Im sorry im not smart when it comes to pcs
Actually just in general not that smart
It has 3 pins
Does it still go in
yes
wait
which one
Sys_1 and sys_2
Im tryna plug this
That port has 4. I'm zooming in on the picture you sent
That's sys_fan1 and sys_fan2
Ye so what do i do if it has three
what are you looking at?
show me
^
that can go into CPU FAN1 or PUMP_AIO
And then where do i put the actual pump
Besides
Pump fan 1 is like a L shape
And cpu fan is 4 pins
That 3 pin can fit into the 4 pin
you see theres a notch, thats supposed to help lock it into place
^
Yes, all fans port on your motherboard are 4 pins, the cable from your fan may be 3 pins but as long as you line the notch on top up to each other, you are good
Where am i gonna put these
gotta check the motherboard manual
I put them like this
Looks fine
the other charger looking like cable should be plug onto your mobo and the other side is to usb port on mobo
when you go into the motherboard bios, you have to remember which fans go where btw
Wym
you have to remember which fan goes to which header
each header is controlled individually
So like sys_1 and sys_2
It doesnt matter right im just gonna put them alk at max
@glass meteor did you plug the fans on the AIO in yet?
If not yet, read the manual from the link I sent you, starting from here
Yes im confused what tge break out cable is
Look at the cables from there. Do they have the same head as the picture?
I dont know
As i said
Im not smart
I@ sorry
I think so tho
But only those two
Look for this cable
Whats that
That's the manual for your aio...
excellent, now follow the picture on step 3.5. Plug the cables from the fans attached to the AIO to that splitter cable
^That is the splitter cable
So put the fan on two of those and then plug it in where?
And should i plug it in the back
So it doesnt look like a mess
You can plug it through the back
In what
But the tail end of that cable should go in cpu_fan
You need to connect the two fans that goes on the radiator to the splitter
and the splitter to cpu_fan
Connect the two fans on the radiator to the ones with 3 pins
Alr
and connect the one with 4 pin to the cpu_fan
The single cable with 4 pin right?
Js ignore it?
No the one with the other two
That one goes to cpu_fan ik
Send picture
It's fine, as long as you place the notch to fit
They are the same
From pic here. Makes no difference
Did you connect this?
Use your finger to find the USB hole, then plug it in there
what other cables is in the box?
Sorry but i js need to finish this before 3am
What bkx
Plug the red green white wiring cable to the usb port on your motherboard
what other cable that come with the aio that you haven't use?
yeah
Can i bring it all the way back and down cz its gonna be hitting the fan otherwise
As long as it's plugged in
Alr
This now
Cant find the one on the left
WAIT
Could it be this
Alr ill take it to the back and connect it
Alr now
Now i need to take the psu
Right?
Yes
And that will involve plugging in other cables too...
so not sure if you have plugged any other mobo stuff
Did you not plugged in cpu_fan?
plug the other end of that splitter into cpu fan. The 3rd you don't need. You don't have the 3rd fan
Alr
What do i do w it
Js let it hang there?
Leave it hanging
or if you want to plug in another fan from somewhere else, but let's not do that for now
Before the psu even
Alr
that's normal
Oh ok
These came with the case
Lemme unbox the psu
Ok now
Im lost
Sata right
Should put all the plugs then put it in?
@tawny belfry
You should plug all your cables from mobo in first
your motherboard cable and cpu cables
Looks like aio pump cable. It has 3 pin?
should go into PUMP_FAN1
In this case which is pump fan 1
And it wouldnt fit on the one the right so?
Im so screwed i havw an hour and a half to finish
Or else im dead lmao
Alr
Put it on the left three
Now should i take this
And plug it
And on the psu
Or what
24 pin goes on mobo and the other side goes on psu
Alr
Shi
I js vant figure out how to fit it
It doesnt wanna go in the 24 pin
Is this fully in?
Bro went to sleep
@desert brook
Can u help?
Sorry
Im dead
run your finger on the plug. If you don't feel any space or gap, it's plugged in fully
Alr
I also plugged in the hd audio cable and f panel
Idk where to plug the blue big cable
what does the cable say on it?
Nothing
I plugged everything that came with the case except for this
And i also dont know the rest for the psu
Alr
Js need to plug this in then the psu rest of the things then hpu then im finally done w my first buikd
yes
There's also gpu
Oh makes sense
Now what after cpu
Wait a minute
Where do i take the cpu one from
Theres no place to take i through
Usually you wire it thru the back
Did u plug the cpu cable on mobo?
Cant dont know from where
I would pull up your motherboard manual
You should be able to plug it in
Or you can take out the top fan for now
To have more space
Is your sata cable connected to psu?
No imma do that
But first
I cant screw
The fan back on
These two are on the way
Its not that sensitive i can kinda move it right?
Just make sure it's sit firm and isn't lose when you move it
Imma go to sleep. Maybe we can pick this up tomorrow if you are still having issues
I'd suggest to read through your manuals
Alright
Im done just the psu now
Goodnight
You all have been extremely helpful thanks so much
Couldnt thank u enough really
I know I'm late to the party but.. pull through is almost always better vent heat if you have the room
Alr
I can connect one of these bad boys in the psu and leave the rest hanging right
connect the end that has 6 pins to the psu
and you see that sata cable from the aio? Connect to one of those head
Ye
The send me a picture of what you have connected to your psu so far
All the cables from your case are connected to mobo?
Alr should i put the gpu now or the psu in case first then gpu
Ok so, GPU left
No, just leave everything out. Make sure your parts are working
Alr
then you can cable manage w.e later
Alr lemme unbox the gpu
Just put the other side in this slot right
The top one
How mych brackets from the side should i remove
I dont need to remove any brackets on the case
No
For the hdmi port thing
Is this tright
Upgrading your graphics card is one of the easiest/best ways to improve your computers performance when it comes to playing video games and using other 3D accelerated applications. But for someone that's never popped off their computers side panel before to take a peek inside the idea of opening it up and changing out hardware components can be ...
follow that video instruction
Did u hear the click?
If it's not falling out, you should be fine
Follow the video instruction
Its really confusing
Struggling with this
Look how tight the hdmi and stuff is
And this just doesnt wanna go in either
Can you plug in your hdmi cable with that?
Ues
k then it's fine
Ok. connect the power cable to your gpu and psu
plug that into the gpu
then u need an 8 pin cable that says vga on it
plug that cable to the other end of this cable
This?
does it says vga on the cable?
remember the cpu cable said CPU right?
Look for the same 8 pin but it says VGA
is it 8 pin?
that's 8
Ye
the head that says PSU?
ignore the other head.
Alr
Is there another cable with fewer pcie-e head?
OK then ignore the other ones
Am i good to plug it in and try to start it up
Should i plug it in the wall and try it now?
Try now
Keep it on for now. Just make sure things work
Theres a red light in the mobo
Uh oh
Did u install your ssd?
Yes?
Its in the 0.1 slot
It doesnt need to connect to anything right?
The red light says
Boot underneath
Oh no
Did i break something
No
Omg
Try to turn off, connect hdmi cable to the gpu hdmi slot
Ye
Now do ur cable management if you want.
The red light on boot is still there btw
The rest will just be installing windows
Probably asking you to update bios
Shouldnt i check on stuff
Should i? How
Update how-to:
- Get the latest BIOS. It's the topmost one on the MSI support page for your board. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B550-TOMAHAWK/support
- Extract the file and you will get a text file and the BIOS file. Put the BIOS file into the root folder of a USB stick/drive.
- Enter the BIOS by pressing DEL during boot, go to "M-FLASH" in the BIOS.
- Once M-Flash (the updater) is loaded, it will show a list of your drives. Select the USB stick and select the previously extracted BIOS file on there.
- It will ask for confirmation and then update the BIOS. It's fully automatic from there, takes about two minutes.
Powered by AMD Ryzen AM4 processors, the MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK inspired by the military armor design, tuned for better performance by Core boost, DDR4 Boost, Lightning M.2 with M.2 Shied
Download in a usb and then ug it in?
For now imma turn it off and do cable management
Why is my ddr speed 2666mhz tho
That's default. You can adjust it later in bios
@desert brook I don't think am4 has xmp on mobo yet right?
You can enable XMP
Yeah but is it a setting or u gotta manually set it?
How am i supposed to cable maanage this
There's an XMP profile
@glass meteor did you like not watch any videos before doing this?
Like before even considering building a PC
I did but i never interpreted correctly and my buikd is so different
And i dont like to risk things
So i ask alot
Now u r done with the main parts
Watch a vid on cable management
It's a general thing
Now you know where all the cables go
Yes
Just sorry
Really sorry
One last thing
Do i just plug this in the back?
