Other than previously mentioned, you can try using a dremel to fix/create a groove for a bit.
Use a very small drill bit with a drill and very very very carefully drill into it?
That’s what my friend did and it cracked the screw so he could put a new one in there
A dremel would be an option as well if you have one
No wonder, u broke it… drill it carefully
-While you sit here thinking about it ... buy a new screw on amazon or ebay to replace it. Because I wouldn't put that one into anything but the trash.
- use a pair of needlenose plyers to apply upward pressure from the side. this will allow you to apply more pressure from the screwdriver down.
- Use a dremel if you have one to make a single flat pass across the head. (if you have one)
- Swap to a flat head instead of phillips that fits in the original slot OR that will go into the new dremel slot.
There’s actually a neat way to deal with this. Get some super glue, apply it to the stripped screw, then sit your screw driver on top and wait for it to dry. Once you know they’re fused, unscrew and clean your screw driver. Done and done
placing a rubber band over it and trying to unscrew is another suggestion I've seen regarding stripped screws
or if you can find a small flathead that could potentially fit in what's remaining
I had though of this idea randomly but just went with the dremel idea instead
Try a Phillips 2
