Not sure what your pc has been through but if it is indeed the aio then you either have pump failure or a potentially gunked aio
ur pump finally died its time to just replace it tbh theyre only rated for 4-5 years but not at the temps the 12700k can output
Why now? It was working perfectly fine few days ago, It was dirty so I cleaned it up and installed it again, I dont think that it died, only had it for a year
So check your mounting pressure, pump header connection, and make sure all your screws are secured. If it’s bad contact and the pump is working fine then it will fix the issue
If the pump is working find and the block is mounted correctly and you still get those temps then gunk could have built up inside the water block(although rare but it happens)
It could even be something as simple as tilting the system to release some trapped air bubbles but that shouldn’t cause such a drastic change in temperatures
In any case if you check all these boxes and you’re still getting those temps it’s safe to say the cooler is donzo. If you have an air cooler on hand, even the intel one, you can swap it in and see if temps go down which would guarantee your liquid cooler being the issue.
