Game stuck in controller mode?

So I play trackmania with a controller, and It was connected when I loaded up Omega strikers, so the game thought I wanted to play in controller. Fair enough, disconnected the controller, and still unable to make any inputs via keyboard and mouse. Restarted the game with no controller connected, and still when I load into a game the inputs are locked into controller - I can't make any inputs with keyboard and mouse. I reinstalled the bloody game, no controller connected, and the game is still locked into controller mode. I double checked on steam, and steam is not detecting any controllers. How do I switch the game back to key and mouse?

you could try switching the input options in options like moba and vice versa

Also probably start up steam without a controller attached

It's steam settings I would check @simple nimbus -- it sounds like it might be overriding your KBM.
