I’ll get back to this if you wanna but here are some thoughts:

A lot of the teams simply rely on the tech and magic they had before entering corestrike. And even then, their motives for joining except Frostfire and EM are completely personal. Think DD. they only join because Vyce and Octavia are trying to mend their relationship. Finii is doing it for attention, and the rest are usually just doing it to prove some kind of point.

But the EM’s? course they have their personal reasons, but they’re in it to play corestrike. It’s not done convenient sport they used to play in school; it’s their career. They play corestrike and are pros. Same with Frostfire. Think Juliette, cliché shonen protag BUT! she’s joined corestrike, to WIN. She’s only thinking of corestrike, so she’s practicing to win. Frostfire and EM are the only teams whose heads are really in the game.

I mean, imagine joining a professional soccer team just because you wanted to hang out with your sister (Octavia), or just because you were forced to (rune). None of the other teams really feel serious. Even clarion. It’s more of a fun, exciting outlet for Kazan and Rasmus, while for Nao she’s literally being dragged to play. She doesn’t want to. She just, can.

Honestly, none of the teams actually feel serious about the sport besides the EM and Frostfire

Their skills just, let them qualify

Whether it’s magic or tech, it’s just, good enough

Entertaining enough

Flashy enough

Do they even truly practice?

I doubt it

One thing I’m not a huge fan of with a lot of their lore, though let’s be honest, I’ve barely read anyone else’s lore besides the EM’s. But they don’t seem serious

I mean

Juno is literally just some thing SSR dragged to play with them

There’s no consideration

Not about their teammates

Its just groups of friends

This is so true and I think it's why EM's chemistry has caught my eye the most, the characters personalities have really interesting interactions! The things they've gone through have linked their goals in some way and they also bond over the sport, most of the other teams are playing corestrike over more personal things and not really the sport at all. Which is cool and all but it didnt speak to me as much as EM

I think my top favorite teams are Clarion and EM
Clarion mostly because of the interesting personalities and techniques
EM for actual lore, personalities, and fluid playstyle (When played ingame the chemistry works really well actually like they all feel made for eachother)

EM obv being number 1 (how could it not be)
a lot of the teams just feel weaker in lore and chemistry
