Era has her butterflies which are definitely imbued with magic (think how her maelstrom has butterfly visuals) so she can imbue tech/objects with magic and make it last long af (it also ends when she does the disappointed emote, perhaps implying focus but I will not poke holes into my own theory lmao)
She can buff/debuff multiple targets including the core, and doing so doesn't affect her ability to use flutterfly

Thus either her focus is insanne

Aside from that my first instinct is it’s a talent/bloodline thing and hereditary based on how the body reacts to Omega.

This is because characters tend to display different talents and abilities with no clear distinction beyond who they are. Vyce can channel lightning, but why can’t Kai for example.
