tried striking the core normally as well but it didn't register as well so I never managed to complete it on that day. Got the quest again today and looks like it registered fine. Not sure what happened on the day i posted the report

I managed to reproduce this, I didn't even manage to hit the core first as X, so it seems like simply playing as X clears that daily
I tried several times before and couldn't get it to clear

Here are my stats for the co-op v.s. ai match that cleared that mission, not entirely sure if there's any other random unknown conditions along with playing as X that are required for clearing that mission
also, thought I'd also mention that you seem to actually get the striker pass points from clearing the mission - if anyone was wondering
the 424 striker pass points is from the game during double exp week, the 1000 is from the cleared "Hit the core first" mission

I feel like the text is replacing another quest in the pool and it possibly might be different each time. In no way should it be playing a specific striker though i think because you only get one of those per day and i see you have your play as aimi quest done. Try to see if you can find a list of possible missions and run through them in bot games or summ until a solution is found.

Could you try playing another match as X and let me know if it's still not cleared, it looks like that was the first match you played for the day and me and the other post had to play several other games before playing as X suddenly cleared it. Also as stated above, it's also just possible that it's just replacing another mission or somethin

Got the bugged mission again and it was cleared after my first match of the day in quick play, here's literally all the information I can provide on the matter, hopefully we can all collectively figure out what's going on.

This just happened to me and I tried playing X on like my 15th game of the day and it worked. I can't imagine what other daily it could have been and I didn't have two of them, just the one that eventually decided it was done once I played X.

I think it changes everytime what it actually is bc I’ve had the quest before and simply playing as X didn’t work, but I somehow got it after playing zen a bunch of times on coop.

Still bugged, been having it since the summer update.
I do agree with the theory the text is put on a different daily - and if it was somehow Play as X as someone mentioned, it wouldn't surprise me for there to be two Play As dailies, it's bugged in the first place after all.

Thanks for all of the information here folks. I'm checking out this bug today to see if I can get a repro on it. The theory about the text being incorrect and tied to another mission is pretty likely so I'm going to start with that. It is weird that X sometimes/sometimes doesn't seem to clear the mission though.

Figured it out. The mission showing up with the incorrect title is "Score Goal with Energy Burst"
