So while practicing some Asher in the practice mode, I noticed the specific of a weird glitch that I had encountered before in games, but didn't understand, which was sometimes the primary animation would start, but not actually fire, which I now understand.
So Asher's dash can cancel into a strike, but not into skill, but if you strike while dashing, Asher does not have her dash animation anymore and the game seems to be confused about Asher's exact state at that point, which lets you try to primary while still mid-dash, but since you technically can't, it only does the start up frame.
You can do this several times before the dash animation is supposed to be over, which has lead to a weird scenario where you can fire off 5 primary's if you are good enough at mashing while dashing.
In the picture linked with the post, you can see the animation of her primary looking like she is firing to the right, but actually firing top left.
I have tested it with the person with the most similar dash, X, but doesn't have the same issue.
TLDR on replication:
- Use her secondary
- Core Strike while still dashing
- Using any skill before the dash should end.
