I am looking for fundamental concepts about team games (ie basketball, ice hockey, etc). For example, there's this concept for fighting games, and it's about the RPS in neutral: https://www.guiltygear.se/guilty-gear-fundamentals-1-neutral/ (scroll down a little to "three structure"). I'm interested in if there's some kind of loose equivalent to talk about tactics or decisions in team based games where people have to pass a ball around.

Simply play better and win more.
not really sure about how the equivalent to tal;k about tactics would be, though there are a few fundemental things that are in alot of those sports
"passing"
"triangles"
'defending'
'fwd/striker'
how basic / fundamental are you looking for? Like here's an example of the concepts behind certain running play design in football (what's the overall reason that the concept exists, what each player should do, etc.) https://www.samfleener.com/football/offense-fundamentals/plays-concepts/run-concepts, you likely could find something similar for defense / passing offense
ngl i didnt really understand much of the link. i guess i want something more abstract, or even more fundamental?
