Hello everyone!
One of the problems with using the browser while playing Flyff Universe is that it has to reload all the maps and textures while connecting or moving your character from one point to another. So, on many occasions while loading the game when entering as shown in the image, the textures remain blank.
Also depending on the browser, it consumes a lot of resources (RAM, CPU, among others) which affects some people to perform other tasks. For this reason it would be a good idea to implement a PC version so that you don't have to load the textures and maps every time you are playing.
Without more to say, greetings!
#PC Version (not Browser) of Flyff Universe

PC … and Mac please ;P
The same technique would be used on pc, that’s just how they optimized this version, and the same thing would happen if they made a client.
Essentially you need a better computer if you want things to load faster.
With a client the maps and textures may be precharged (installed with his files, I think) so don't need to be dowloaded again. Mostly of the cases are has mentioned are that while playing in the browser these will download again if you refresh the website or if you are disconnected. That happens too in mobile devices also if you using mobile data is a lot of GB used with 1 account because of that.
Who says that they would change the way they’ve already programmed their optimizations? On a client it would function the same way.
App would be good for someone with slow internet or is using Wifi
i used to play using wifi, hella high ping and slow loading of textures
im using wifi6 with 300mbps
Again, who says anything would be different? It’s highly likely a client would just be a custom web browser with an anti cheat built in
i dont have problem with this. i have 10+ client of flyff and no problem encounter. i played flyff PC (US Server) for almost 3 years and i can verify that Flyff universe is less usage on RAM and CPU compare to PC version. Flyff universe cost more on data compare to PC version but nowadays internet speed is not a huge problem (i have 400MBPS internet speed)
That is so that Flyff or literally any game is not optimized to have mutiple instances of the same game open
Im using
RYZEN 5 3600
RX 570 8GB
3200 DUAL CHANNEL 16 RAM
FLYFF PC (FLYFF US)
8 CLIENTS:
75% TO 85% CPU USAGE
3GB TO 4GB RAM USAGE
FLYFF UNIVERSE
8 CLIENTS:
15% CPU USAGE
3GB TO 4GB RAM USAGE
THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE. usually the issue that you encounter is more on the side of the internet service providee. Usually DNS issue. I suggest that when playing flyff avoid using incognito or reduce clear cache of the browser because flyff universe usually cache some resources in the browser to load images, resources faster. If you clear cache it will load again this resources or if you use incognito.
Exploits, res data modification, leaked source codes, hacks and many other issues is why this game was explicitly made for browser. So even talking about this is a waste of time since it will never happen for the mentioned reasons. (Dev of the game himself even said from the start why it was made for browser lol)
What how? I have better specs and my cpu usage is at 100% on flyff pc with 8 clients
big factors for lower usage is the resolution. im using 1024x768 for all 8 clients. i dont know if big factor but im using samsung evo 970. around 3500 MBPS read and write.
Oh devs said that? I didn't knew that.
Interesting the pro and cons. I thougth that was made for browser because of the multi-platform playing. I appreciate yours answers guys.
Maybe was the gimmick at the start but lets be honest how many ppl are playing it on the phone. I mean really playing not checking shops at work and stuff like that
yes, this is also the huge point why they avoid creating CLIENT SIDE data like apps make the security vulnerable to hacks. unlike browser base game, all data is coming from flyff universe side.
They said they eventually make one in one of the Q&A's
Oh, that's good. Where I can see that Q&A?
