I am a time traveler from the stone ages who is still using Anki 2.1.22 w/ MIA Japanese.
I would like to update Anki, and start using the FSRS algo.
The one addon I don't have a replacement for is MIA Japanese.
I use MIA Japanese for:
- Automatic furigana generation (you can add custom entries + corrections too)
- Automatic pitch accent coloring
- With the press of a button, you can add a native recording of (almost) any word to your card. Including all pitch accent variants
- Additionally, you can click on any word on your card to instantly hear native audio
(I think they stole the native audio from an NHK pitch accent dictionary but idk)
Is my best route to
A. try to port the plugin to modern anki?
B. try to replace the plugin with some modern equivalent? maybe leveraging yomitan somehow?
I'm just not really familiar with the current SRS scene tbh, so any direction would be helpful
