I have been learning Japanese for a little under a year. I mostly immerse with anime and was wondering if this page had a program to link up smaller groups to have conversations and hold eachother accountable. Sometimes it seems intense to ask really basic in general chat as there are so many people way beyond where I stand. I would be super excited to create a sub group with N5/introductory level people to progress together.

you can create a thread in the #language-discussion channel maybe? but everyone is super lovely, at the end of the day we all just want to see each other progress no matter the level
plus, if you're looking for answers to questions, it's probably better to ask someone who is above your level. asking someone on your level is kinda the blind leading the blind, language is hard that you won't know if you're doing it wrong until someone who knows better just tells you

and suggest against sticking to a circle of people of low japanese ability only
I believe it'd more likely drag you down rather than help you

If you want a way that helps with immersion and doing it consistently then do it in the morning or else youre going to be sitting there at 10pm thinking Ill just add the time to tommorow, and then it becomes an endless cycle. And yes thats me speaking from experience lol. If you want you could setup a dm with me or create a group where we hold each other accountable.
