Hi, I have been studying japanese for less than a month and I have a problem, when studying the anki vocab deck I find myself unable to remember the meaning of some words by just looking at the word written, but when i hear the sentence I know what the word means. What should I do in these cases? Should I mark the card as "again", or do I hit "good"? I hope that learning vocab will get easier over time, but as of now if I have to mark "again" in every card I dont remember the meaning just with the word I wont be able to advance much. Thanks

Sentences are there to serve as context reminders. If you remember the word based on the sentence, that is fine.

You'll eventually be able to recall the word by itself thanks to immersion anyways.
