So I've recently started delving into more listening based content. I've started watching a lot more vtuber content and other YouTubers (not a huge fan of anime anymore so I just stopped). Now that I've started doing more listening again, I was wondering if there was some roadmap to acquiring pitch accent? I was also wondering about how to acquire pitch accent. Ty for reading the question.
#How to tackle pitch accent?

Pinged you with the answer in the bot channel, only because i think its a good answer
be sure to check out the links it gives in there too. they are useful
For the links provided, do I have to watch both Matt's and Dogen's videos?
only if you want to tbh
I would personally watch like one a day or something similar. It’s not much time investment but it offers a lot of returns in terms of the broad strokes they each cover.
So I'm probably just going to watch Dogen's videos, but has anybody watched this video?
Every Japanese Learner should learn Japanese Pitch Accent before they're able to speak because learning Pitch Accent is extremely fast and easy.
It's a crazy mystery why Pitch Accent is not more commonly taught as it only really takes 1 lesson to learn what Pitch Accent is, and a few minutes of practice here and there to develop a PASSIVE ABIL...
Any opinions?
i guess all i will say is, i've never heard of this guy before ^^ and i trust dogen, matt, and darius's videos
I'll stick with dogen then
I haven’t watched those particular dogen videos, but should you get through them and he doesn’t happen to cover conjugation in them, watch the Matt video. I just did, and although I knew everything in there via experience it took me 7-8 months to do so whereas I could’ve had the answer from the start and started acquiring it sooner.
@violet yew which matt video is this?
It’s one of the videos that comes up if you ask the bot how to learn pitch accent in #🤖basic-qa-bot
