The first place to check is generally here https://learnjapanese.moe/font/
Moe Moe Moe Moe Moe Moe Moe
I'm assuming this is anki? What system are you running on?
Lol the definition is in Japanese
U probably only have the Japanese dictionary on yomichan
They mean that the font is Chinese, so the kanji strokes aren’t correct/look different to how it’s written in Japanese text
Really? I don’t notice anything off. 😦
Do u have a comparison
Lol full disclosure I didn’t look very closely at the image and inferred from the question and sparky’s reply what they were asking—looking at it, I don’t see anything markedly off, so this difference may just be a font, but look at the difference between 問題 and what’s on their picture.
I totally just said the wrong word— meant to point out 活題
Dear lord twice—
話題?
Yes thank you I’m walking 💀
Lol it's okay
Is that just a special font or is it Chinese? Usually things like 直 make it really obvious but I’m not at all familiar with Chinese fonts
It looks too thin/styled for any jp font I normally see
Idk
I'm not an expert either but 言 radical written that way is something you'll probably notice
yeah this is anki 2.1.46 on win 10
the 話 at the start of the sentence (1) looks completely different
and when i use left shift on the word in google (to pull up the translation) it looks completely fine
Did you follow the guide I linked earlier? If you do the windows 10 system it should be fine.
If not follow the Anki section, which just involves you downloading a font and changing the font-family value in your card template
The issue is not yomichan, yomichan just adds content to the card and is agnostic to what font is being used on either end, the issue is with anki
