As the question states - is it worth my time in Anki? My „low“ level taken into consideration, I’m not sure if it is something I could (or should) do or just ignore for now.
Is this something I would do at a later stage where I focus on reading non audio stuff (like manga / novels) or right now - or even never?

if you mean what I think you mean, like you encountered a word that you've only seen spelled with kana up to that point but spelled in kanji this time,
I've done that quite a bit because reading is something i care a decent bit about
I don't know if you need to per se but it helped me out with certain books and vns

Personally, I don't feel comfortable saying I "know" a word if I can't read it. So if I recognize a word and know what it is when I hear it, but I don't recognize it when I see it written, I mine it.
